
The course aims to provide students with fundamental knowledge and skills in measurement methods and instrumentation, as well as in the informed interpretation of measurement results. It also equips students with essential tools to analyze and understand design aspects and to develop and optimize measurement systems based on sensors and optical approaches.

The ultimate goal of the course is to provide solid basic knowledge and skills, with a methodological approach, with regard to measuring devices and instruments, with particular reference to the industrial sector. In addition, students will be provided with the essential tools to analyze and understand design aspects and to be able to develop distributed measurement systems based on recent industrial communication systems for the implementation of distributed measurements.
